Children of Engebret and Helene Johnson / Siblings of John Johnson


Engebret and Helene Johnson were the parents of 14 children, at least 3 of whom likely died at a young age.

The 1900 Census asks for a birth month and year.  John Johnson's says Dec. 1833.  This confirms the birth information from John's baptism record, provided by Karen Hulford.  Because of this, I believe the birth years on John Johnson's grave stone (1934) and obituary (1935) are not correct.

Death: Mar. 1, 1865 Memphis Shelby County Tennessee, USA Oliver Johnson enlisted in the 8th Wisconsin Infantry, Company E, on 9/19/1861. He died of disease, at Adams U.S. Hospital, in Memphis, on 3/1/1865. He was 21 years, 2 months, & 7 days old.

ObituaryDAHLEN, Inger H. (d. 1918)Inger Helena Dahlen, a resident of Whatcom county for over twenty-eight years, passed away at the family home on the Northeast Diagonal road, September 11, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, 13 days. She is survived by K. H. Dahlen, four sons, Herbert, of Seattle and Walla Walla; Harold, of Walla Walla; Anton, of Bellingham, and Frederick Dahlen in the United States service, at Camp Mead, Maryland; three daughters, Mrs. J. R. Walton, of Bellingham; Mrs. H. O. Mullins, of Acme; and Mrs. J. J. McPherson, of Vancouver, B. C., besides eight grandchildren and one sister in Wisconsin. Mrs. Dahlen was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday forenoon, september 14, at 10 o'clock, from the undertaking parlors of A. G. Wickman, 1146 Elk street, Rev. B. K. McElmon officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot at Bay View cemetery.ae 71jhon
